Martha Herrera's career: An example of empowerment Herrera is characterized by being passionate about sustainable development and social transformation. That is why, for 30 years, she has focused on development banking, intermediate organizations and the private sector.

Although Nuevo León is the state with the lowest poverty rate (24%), there are nearly one and a half million people living in moderate poverty and more than 100,000 in extreme poverty.

Which is a considerable challenge throughout Martha Herrera's entire career, which is why she seeks to eliminate the root of the problem, beyond providing welfare help.
