One of the biggest doubts of companies that need to start advertising in a more structured way is choosing which marketing channels to do it on.

It seems trivial but it is not at all, given that communicating Specific Database even perfectly on a channel that is not suitable for your sector could be completely useless .

If you don't do a careful analysis before choosing which channel to communicate on, you basically come across errors of two types:

Wasting resources and energy: the most common mistake is to say "I want to be present everywhere" and, consequently, to start opening blogs, Instagram profiles, YouTube channels and buying road signs. The consequence of all this is a waste of resources and energy on channels that will not bring us results.

Communicate to no one: the second big mistake is to choose the most fashionable channel, with the risk of starting to communicate on a channel in which your target simply isn't there!
Let's take it to the extreme: imagine you have a 70-year-old target. At some point, the TikTok trend explodes and everyone jumps in there. You decide to do it too and you also get the first followers, but then you discover That, obviously, these are not target users and that they are, therefore, completely useless for your business.

Going back to the second point, why do you think there are some big brands that are not even present on the mass marketing channel par excellence, ie TV?



Obviously because they would not find their target audience there. The example that is given in practically any basic marketing course is that of Lamborghini.

But then, taking note of what not to do, how do you choose which marketing channels to invest in?

I'll summarize the answer in 4 points:

Target: you need to ask yourself who you are targeting. Do you speak to young people? To mothers? Of the elderly? After asking yourself these questions and having defined clearly and in detail which audience you are addressing, you will be able to identify the best channel to intercept it.
