After analyzing your own actions and drawing conclusions, it's time to look at your opponents. The most important and at the same time the most difficult task is to determine the closest market competition.

Business competition - entities operating in the market that offer the same or similar services/products as you. Their assortment is aimed at the same target group. Business competitors include companies whose offering is similar to yours in terms of availability, quality and price.
Choose 3-5 business rivals - in this case it is better to focus on quality, not quantity.

Take into account:

industry,
services provided,
price range,
target group.
If you do not do this, it may turn out that the selected competitor is not a competitor at all, and then the analysis will be worthless.

Example:

You run an online store selling women's clothing. Your offer is intended for women aged 25-35. You have included two online stores where you can also buy women's clothing in the competition of your business market. Above all, however, their offer is intended for people aged 40-50. Second, these are premium stores and your clothes are affordable. Therefore, analyzing their activities will not help you determine what your potential customers are looking for. The women who buy clothes in these stores are not your target group - they are of a different age, they don't pay attention to the price (for your clients it is a key factor when shopping) and they are looking for classic clothes, cut just right for an older woman.
